The hot boned sausage meat, made from premium 400-500 lb. sows, is chopped, seasoned with Sunset Farm Foods' exclusive blend of spices, and chilled within 60 minutes. Uses and Menu VersatilityWhole Hog Pork Sausage can be rolled with cheese and flour, deep fried, and speared with a toothpick and served as an hors d'oeuvre or appetizer. Fry and add to sauces for pasta. Pan-fry with bell peppers and onions and serve beside scrambled eggs for a new twist to breakfast. For a rich, flavorful meat loaf, remove sausage from casing and mix sausage pieces with ground beef before cooking. Slice and serve in biscuits. Crumble and add to pizza. Simplest of all, cook the link on the grill and enjoy! Preparation TechniquesThaw frozen sausage in refrigerator for one day before cooking. Cook sausage in covered pan with 1 cup of water for 15 minutes or until sausage is gray all the way through. Pan-fry for 4 minutes or grill at 350 degrees.
