Bow-ties with Ham and Peas


1 lb. bow-tie pasta (farfalle)
3 tbls butter
1/2 cup diced sweet onion
2 cups frozen peas
1 cup half and half
1.5 cups diced ham
1/2 cup parmesan cheese


Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water according to package instructions. Drain.
Add butter to pot and heat over medium heat until fully melted. Add the diced onion and cook until soft, approximately 3-4 minutes.
Add the peas and half and half, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until thickened, for approximately 4-5 minutes.
Add the diced ham to the sauce and cook until heated through. Toss with the pasta, and top with cheese. Enjoy!
